Miki Katagiri

Triangular shaped crown and brim top stitches, matching geometrical shapes in cotton fabric.

Miki felt that the animals in this design look like they've been caught by human beings so she used a complimentary netting fabric.

This pattern reminded Miki of water, so she combined it with fabric from Hawaii to convey flowers floating in the ocean.

Miki has lived in NY since 1989, and feels it is her home. She has been making hats for 15 years, and loves expressing her feelings in 3D and wearing them! She hopes to showcase her hats often, and work for peace.
