Unlike a child bored with too many toys, unlike a man satiated with love, unlike a man lost because he has no more worlds to conquer, the man smitten with the wanderlust can never, never grow bored or satiated or lost by too much travel, too much freedom. And yet, when all is said and done, the wanderer is not free: he is enslaved by the passion to keep moving, enslaved by a mental force as strongly as his body can be enslaved by drugs. Never is he free to settle in a place and enjoy the greatest gift of all - contentment.
